If there is excess skin, this can be removed through a small incision in the pubic area and the skin tightened accordingly. This procedure is known as a dermolipectomy of the pubic region. The pubic hair is also slightly reduced in the process. The short scar, similar to a caesarean section, is barely visible as a fine intracutaneous suture is used.
