CHARITY CAMPAIGNS AND COMMITMENT
CHARITY
We do more than meets the eye.
Our specialist Dr. Murat Dağdelen performs plastic surgery operations in India free of charge.
The patients treated suffer from facial or hand deformities, cleft lips, jaws and palates, severe burn scars, tumors of the skin and head, defects caused by accidents or the consequences of war and other conditions that fall within the specialist field of reconstructive surgery.
Successful mission: Reconstructive surgery with Interplast e.V.
In February 2024, our team performed around 120 operations in just three weeks under the auspices of Interplast e.V. The focus was on children and adolescents with deformities, scars and tumors. These operations included complex plastic-reconstructive procedures that opened up new perspectives for those affected, not only in terms of their health but also emotionally.
The treatments ranged from the correction of congenital deformities to the treatment of severe scars. The gratitude of the children and their families was touching and encouraged us in our commitment.
Special thanks go to the supporters and donors, in particular the BigShoe initiative. The project was made possible thanks to the prominent sponsorship of Bukayo Saka (Arsenal FC) and Antonio Rüdiger (Real Madrid). Their contributions were not only financially significant, but also inspiring for many.
The success of this mission is the result of teamwork, commitment and generous support. Together we have been able to change lives and make a lasting difference.
Help for thousands of Indian patients (CHARITY ACTIONS AND COMMITMENT)
Dr. Murat Dağdelen and his team of doctors from Germany have been operating on destitute people in India for twelve years. The patients from Jalna and the surrounding area suffer from cleft lip and palate, malformations and burns. On his two trips in 2015 and 2016, Dr. Murat Dağdelen was able to help 128 patients in 2015 and 140 patients the following year together with all the other committed people.
A two-week surgery camp costs around 200,000 euros and is financed entirely by donations.

The patients treated suffer from facial deformities, cleft lip, jaw and palate, hand deformities, severe burn scars, tumors of the skin and head, defects caused by accidents or the consequences of war and other diseases that fall within the specialist field of plastic surgery.
When selecting patients, particular care is taken to ensure that those patients are operated on who would otherwise not be able to afford treatment for their condition.

The aim is to enable patients to become a socially integrated part of their society. Unfortunately, congenital malformations or illnesses are often seen as punishment for misconduct by divine powers and those affected are not socially accepted. Untreated burn scars can lead to disfigurement or considerable loss of function, particularly in the arms and legs. The affected patients are then often unable to care for their loved ones or themselves.
During their vacation, the surgical teams travel to the respective host country for about two weeks at the invitation of a hospital or office. It goes without saying that they behave like guests there. Both the doctors and the local nursing staff are involved in the work and trained as far as possible. Ideally, our host colleagues will be able to continue the work on site independently after our departure.
