Curriculum vitae & career
Dr. Tarek Al-Malat grew up in Werne (Münsterland) and completed his medical studies at the University of Duisburg-Essen in 2012. In the same year, he began his basic surgical training at the BG Clinic in Duisburg.
He received his doctorate from the University of Duisburg-Essen in 2013 and completed his thesis with the grade "magna cum laude".
From 2016, he completed his specialist training as a plastic and aesthetic surgeon at the BG Klinik Duisburg under Prof. Dr. H.-H. Homann.
In 2018/2019, he focused on reconstructive and aesthetic breast surgery as part of a rotation at the renowned Clinic for Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery at the Sana Clinic in Düsseldorf-Gerresheim under the direction of Prof. Christoph Andree.
In 2019, he obtained his specialist certification from the North Rhine Medical Association. In the same year, he became a senior physician for plastic and aesthetic surgery at Cellitinnen Krankenhaus St. Vinzenz in Cologne, specializing in breast surgery and body contouring surgery.
His commitment to continuous training and his interest in innovative technologies enable him to keep abreast of the latest developments in plastic surgery.
As a full member of the DGPRÄC (German Society for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery) and the international ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery), he shares his knowledge and experience and at the same time learns from internationally recognized specialist colleagues. He was able to further expand his expertise during stays abroad in Helsinki and Paris.
Since 2023, he has been course director of the advanced training course "Facial rejuvenation periorbital invasive vs. non-invasive" of the German Society for Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery (DGPRAEC) and thus contributes to the training of prospective specialists in plastic and aesthetic surgery."
