Calf corrections
Shaping the calves
Strong calf muscles in men are a symbol of a healthy, active life. Flat calves are considered unattractive by many men. Well-proportioned calves, on the other hand, are an eye-catcher. If the shape of the legs is disturbing, this can often be due to underdeveloped calf muscles. If muscle building does not work sufficiently with training, there are other ways to help.
Calf augmentation is one of the operations in which male patients predominate. The aim is often to achieve the contour of an athletic calf as a sign of athletic health. The starting point for the operation is often calves that are too thin or asymmetrical, bony lower legs, bow legs or volume differences following illnesses (e.g. poliomyelitis).
In order to achieve the desired calf contour, either specially shaped implants can be inserted or an injection with autologous fat or hyaluronic acid can be performed.

Insertion of calf implants
Despite uncomplicated surgery, as with any operation, there are normal surgical risks such as secondary bleeding, infection and the formation of wound fluid. Your expectations and options will be discussed in detail during your consultation with me. The operation is performed under general anaesthetic and involves an overnight stay in the surgical center.
Specially shaped silicone implants are inserted through a short incision below the hollow of the knee exactly where there is too little tissue. In most cases, this is the inner calf area. The implants used have an elongated shape and a soft, non-rigid texture.
Hyaluronic acid gel
Thin or unevenly shaped calves can be gently shaped with hyaluronic acid gel. Clear and firm hyaluronic acid gel is injected into the desired area and provides an immediate increase in volume. This allows thin or flat calves to be given the desired volume. Hyaluronic acid can be injected without anesthesia. Hyaluronic acid is a natural product that is broken down by the body after several years. It can then be refreshed.
Thick calves
Muscular calves: A status symbol in the world of men, but a flaw for most women. If you want to keep up with fashion trends such as skinny jeans, short skirts or ultra-tight boot shafts, you need slim legs. Here are the solutions:
Liposuction
Thick, protruding calves do not fit into boots and do not harmonize with sexy high heels. If you can't manage it with sport, you can seduce with slim calves in summer. If you want to get rid of your calf fat, modern and gentle liposuction is just the thing for you. Thanks to this technique, the silhouette of the calves can be shaped and contoured as desired. The result is firm, well-formed calves without any dents.
Relaxing injection against muscular calves
Calves that are too tight can spoil the pleasure of beautiful clothing: they interfere with the effect of short skirts or shorts and sometimes make it impossible to wear boots.
This is where Calf-Botox is supposed to help and slim the calves. Probably the most famous drug in the world is no longer only used to counteract facial wrinkles or excessive sweating, but can also be used for body shaping. Muscle-relaxing medication is injected into the calf muscle so that it can only be partially tensed, giving it a slimmer appearance. Thanks to muscle-relaxing medication injections, the calves become slimmer and lose up to 10 percent of their circumference (3-5 cm).
With so-called "Calf-Botox", the medication is injected into the muscles of the calf and the contraction is prevented 3 weeks after treatment. This makes the leg look slimmer, as the muscle can no longer be partially contracted. Depending on the strength of the calf muscle, several sessions may be required. The cost of this method is around 300 to 1000 euros and the effect lasts for six months. However, calf training and cycling should then be avoided as far as possible in order to benefit from the treatment for a long time.
Treatment with muscle relaxant medication may only be carried out by doctors.
