What is a deep-plane facelift?
The deep-plane facelift is an advanced facelift procedure in which not only the skin but also the deeper structures of the face (in particular the so-called SMAS and the connective tissue layers) are loosened, repositioned and stabilized. By releasing retaining bands in the midface, the tissue can be lifted naturally and without tension – without artificial “traction”.

Who is the Deep-Plane Facelift suitable for?
This technique is aimed at patients, usually over the age of 40, for whom conventional methods are no longer sufficient. It is particularly suitable for:

The procedure is performed under general anesthesia. The deeper tissue is mobilized, repositioned and anchored via fine incisions along the hairline and behind the ear. - Aftercare:
After the procedure, we provide you with close follow-up care - patients are usually able to socialize again after approx. 10-14 days.

❓ What is the difference between a deep-plane facelift and an SMAS lift?
Answer: With the SMAS lift, the superficial muscle layer (SMAS) is tightened. With the deep-plane facelift, this layer is detached from the deeper tissue together with the skin, repositioned and fixed without tension - for a more natural, longer-lasting result.
❓ How long does a deep-plane facelift last?
Answer: Usually between 10 and 15 years - depending on skin type, lifestyle and individual tissue structure.
❓ How long will I be restricted after the procedure?
Answer: Swelling and slight bruising are to be expected in the first few days. After 10-14 days, most patients are socially acceptable again; physical exertion should be avoided for approx. 4-6 weeks.
❓ Are there any visible scars?
Answer: The incisions run along natural contours (e.g. hairline, ear), generally heal inconspicuously and are made in such a way that they are barely visible.
❓ Is the deep-plane facelift painful?
Answer: The operation is performed under general anesthesia. Postoperatively, slight feelings of tension are normal, severe pain is rare. We will support you during the healing phase with individually tailored aftercare.
